We want to send a big thank you to everyone who participated in our Ocean Art contest and helped make it a success! We are thrilled with both the number of entries, as well as the quality of submissions.

Congratulations to 10 year old Pahel Srivastava, her entry (see below) received the most votes of any entrant, and has been crowned the winner!

Our panel of judges, which included members of the Stone and Glass marketing, management  and glass blowing team, evaluated each entry carefully and chose the winner based on the drawing and the idea behind the entry.

Artwork Title: True Beauty

Tell us about your idea:  I chose to draw a fish with a fancy tail and other fancy parts.  This represents the true wonders of nature and will open up people’s eyes to care about nature and what we could miss out on if these animals died.

Stay tuned for photos and video as James and team transform True Beauty to glass.

The True Beauty drawing and sculpture along with all of the more than 40 contest entries will be on display in the Gallery for our World Oceans Day event on June 8 through the end of June.

Here are a few of the other wonderful entries.
